ABOUT US
At Invested in Neighborhoods, we are on a mission to transform neighborhoods and elevate the lives of every individual within them, one person at a time. We envision a future where each person's potential is nurtured, enabling growth and resilience.
Our journey commenced in 2019 with a focus on youth outreach and mentoring. In the process, we uncovered the profound challenges that families face (that led to broken neighborhoods), motivating us to expand our efforts to encompass the entire family unit. We firmly believe that creating healthier neighborhoods begins and ends with people.
MEET LOVELL
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Seattle, Lovell comes from a family of four, two sisters and one brother; raised by his mom in a single parent home. Through experiencing the destructiveness of fatherlessness, oppression, and the lack of opportunities in his neighborhood led to a passion for urban youth.
Lovell brings over 10 years of experience working with youth, through basketball coaching, recording music, and leading faith-based youth groups. In 2016, after completing the Washington Initiative for Leaders he discovered his call was rooted in mentoring and began the process of forming ALL IN.
RISE UP CAMP
Rise Up Camp is a unique outdoor experience for urban youth in the King County area.
Rise Up Camp is designed to teach youth ages 10-17 practical, hands-on skills they can use as adults. Youth will learn new skills such as carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, sports, and team building exercises.
At the end of camp, they will donate a handcrafted project back to the community! Our goal is to equip each youth with a base of skills and confidence that can be further developed in adulthood.
We host these 3-4 day events during the summer and it is a true community effort.
